He's a handsome guy from Woody Allen movies, she's either from Fellini movies or from someone's dreams.… This story is about Boris and Argina, which recently happened to us in hot Dubai. And we are ready to tell you about how it was!
Our couple are big aesthetes with a real aristocratic vibe. They had a lot of cool associations from good movies about what they like and how they see their day. The bride immediately said that she would like the wedding day to be like a movie with a happy ending. Therefore, the concept is largely inspired by cinema, classical directing techniques and the aesthetics of the Golden Age of Hollywood.
We have set up a lot of lighting devices that are used in the film industry to give the guests the feeling that they are on a film set. This year's trendy brown color was used in the decor, chandeliers were hung and calla lilies and silver cloches were placed on the tables. It seems to us that all this greatly emphasized the atmosphere of aristocracy and luxury that prevailed on that day.
During the evening, a retro photographer worked on the site, who took pictures of the guests with a film camera and developed photographs right on the spot. At the end of the evening, the guests could pick up such a souvenir. And the photographer himself was like a character and complemented the atmosphere very well!
Throughout the evening, all the main points were voiced by a voiceover. Do you know how it is when you watch a movie and a voiceover tells you what the main characters are thinking right now? The climax was the ceremony, which took place precisely under these voices.
Together with the couple, we thought over the gifts for the guests. We sewed personalized makeup bags, which contained everything you might need the day after a good party — sleep masks with the main phrase of the evening, refreshing sweets, cosmetics with which you can quickly put yourself in order, and signature cocktails. In general, we collected all the pleasant little things and handed them to the guests at the end of the evening as a souvenir.
Every good movie has a love story! That's why a couple of us filmed this story about them in advance and showed it to the guests at the wedding. We carefully prepared the cast, the script, and thought out all the locations and images to get a cool mini-movie. We're watching and getting high! And you?
